I'm Engaged!
Well, I admit, I have been a terrible blogger and for those 2 or 3 of you that are my "readers" I apologize for that!
Here's the thing, I just got engaged! It has been a week as of yesterday that I am the new fiance' of Philip Julian Maucieri Jr.! I couldn't be more thrilled!
Phil is the most incredible man I have ever met and I can't even believe that I get the privilege to have him as mine for the rest of my life! I am so grateful for what God has done in our lives and not a day goes by that I do not thank God for giving Phil to me. I couldn't have asked for a better man...I don't think there is one. (Except maybe my daddy) haha!
Phil and I plan to get married on May 21, 2011 and I know it will be the happiest day of my life. I absolutely cannot wait to get to wake up to him every morning and come home to him every day. I am pretty sure I am the luckiest girl in the world. (Right now Phil would say there is no such thing as luck...which I agree with, but what else do you say?!)
I have tons of planning to do and things to make and in between all of that I have school to attend and other families to photograph! This is going to be a great time and a crazy time, but I am going to breathe and give everything to God and look to him alone for my focus and my rest. In the midst of an engagement, finals, and holidays, God is still sufficient and the only thing that I live for.
Here are some pictures from the engagement get together after he asked me!

Riney Family
Well, I met a beautiful family on Sunday afternoon as I was taking pictures of Allison Riney. I took a few shots of the whole family and the two beautiful sisters together before we did the senior shoot.

In the quiet, in the stillness
I know that You are God
In the secret of Your presence
I know there I am restored
When You call I won't refuse
Each new day again I'll choose
There is no one else for me
None but Jesus
Crucified to set me free
Now I live to bring Him praise
In the chaos, in confusion
I know You're Sovereign still
In the moment of my weakness
You give me grace to do Your will
When You call I won't delay
This my song through all my days
All my delight is in You Lord
All of my hope, all of my strength
All my delight is in You Lord Forevermore
I had a really great morning. I spent some time in prayer and asking God for wisdom and to hear clearly what he wants me to do in a situation that I need some guidance. I don't ever want to claim that I have the answers or that I can rely on the internet or research to find my answers and just leave God out of it. And I never want to find myself making a decision on my own and then trying to squeeze or force God into the decision. I want to know what it looks like to really ask him and expect to hear from him instead of just deciding on things by myself. This morning my prayers were strong and I had a great experience in prayer and reading Ephesians.
On my way to school I enjoyed a great time of worship just singing praises to God. I had Hillsong on shuffle and I feel like I got a lot out of listening to the words and proclaiming them and my own prayers to Christ. This song, None But Jesus, is one of my favorite worship songs and it speaks to me every time I hear it. I love that last verse that I bolded. It is so true, in the midst of my busy life and even in midst of time of confusion and not knowing what to do or how to make decisions, God is sovereign still.
In the chaos, in confusion
I know You're Sovereign still.
In the moment of my weakness
You give me grace to do Your will.

In the secret of Your presence
I know there I am restored
When You call I won't refuse
